Welcome to the Evaluation Office!
The Evaluation Office of the University of Zurich is mandated to organise and supervise evaluations for all parts of the university at all levels. The purpose of the evaluations is to assess, assure and improve the quality of the academic work associated with research, teaching and services as well as the quality of management and administration, to provide decision aids to support medium and long-term strategic planning and to report to the public.
The Evaluation Office is independent from the Executive Board (Universitätsleitung) and under the direct control of the Board of the University (Universitätsrat, Organization Chart). The Evaluation Office is professionally independent of the Board of the University.
The scientific direction of the Evaluation Office is with Prof. Hans-Dieter Daniel, the management with Dr. Thomas Rothenfluh. The Evaluation Office employs scientific members of staff, a secretary and, as the need arises, temporary assistants (Team).
