Vyara Todorova studied neuroscience at the University of Cologne and earned her PhD at the Lab for Retinal Cell Biology within the Department of Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Zurich. For her scientific work, she received the Basic Research Award from Pro Retina Germany in 2023. Since April 2023, she has been working as Project Leader for Quality Development at the Evaluation Office of the University of Zurich, serving as Deputy Head since January 2026, focusing on the office's strategic development. In March 2026, she completed the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Change Management, Organizational Consulting and Development at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
